Roofsol now has over 400MW of installed capacity across more than 250 projects.
Why now? India added 2.7GW of solar open-access capacity in the first quarter of 2026 — a 55% jump from the previous quarter and 160% year-over-year.
This is Roofsol's second round from the same lender. It raised ₹2.1 billion (~$24.67 million) from Aseem in May 2025, and ₹255 million (~$3.03 million) in its first equity round in October 2024.
The signal: Aseem Infrastructure Finance, an infrastructure-focused investment fund, has now backed Roofsol across two consecutive debt rounds within roughly a year, signalling deepening lender confidence in a breakout-stage developer with over 400MW installed. As India's C&I solar demand accelerates — open-access capacity jumped 160% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026 — repeat debt commitments like this point to the segment maturing into a financeable, low-risk asset class.
