The money will help complete and commission its flagship plant in Boden, northern Sweden, which aims to produce near zero emissions steel.

Why now? Stegra agreed the round in principle in April 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. It is now ramping up construction in Boden.
The deal won 100% approval from Stegra's lender group, keeping access to undrawn debt facilities set up in its 2024 financing.

What could go wrong? Stegra says its project timeline is under review while it scales up construction.
