Qingyan Precision closes Series B worth hundreds of millions of yuan, led by Beijing Green Energy Fund and BAIC

What's the deal? Suzhou Qingyan Precision Automotive Technology, a physical AI company incubated by Tsinghua University, has closed a Series B round worth hundreds of millions of yuan.

Beijing Green Energy Fund and BAIC Industrial InvestmentDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → led the round, with Yulon Group following on.

The funds will go towards hiring core talent, developing and deploying multimodal data-collection equipment, and building computing and model-training infrastructure.

Why now? Founded in 2018, Qingyan Precision has placed its AI inspection, simulation, and testing products into the supply chains of more than 100 vehicle makers and battery, energy-storage, and manufacturing firms.

The company now wants to grow from an industrial testing firm into a physical AI data infrastructure and world-model platform.

This round closely follows its B2 round, also worth hundreds of millions of yuan, which closed on June 5, 2026 and was led by Xingyuan CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

What could go wrong? Getting products into client sites is hard. Strategy director Cao Qitong told reporters that equipment must not only collect data but also meet strict industrial standards for precision, stability, real-time performance, reliability, and traceability.

The shift from a focused testing business to a broad infrastructure platform also raises the risk of overstretching.

The signal: Dealroom classifies Qingyan Precision as a breakout-stage company, and back-to-back rounds worth hundreds of millions of yuan — its B2 in June and now this Series B — point to investor conviction that its industrial testing roots give it a defensible path into physical AI infrastructure.
