Redo started by solving returns and exchanges. It now offers order tracking, package protection, fulfilment, customer service, and marketing tools — all in one platform.
More than 4,100 brands use Redo, and over 1,750 of them tap multiple products.
Why now? The funding targets product development, AI, and international expansion as Redo races to help brands own customer relationships across every touchpoint.
"When we started Redo, we thought we were solving returns," said chief executive officer and co-founder Sterling Snow. "What we learned from thousands of brands is that returns were only one piece of a much larger challenge."
Redo has already deployed part of the capital, acquiring ReturnBear, an international returns provider servicing more than 100 countries.
The deal lets shoppers return products locally for inspection and reshipping, sparing merchants cross-border costs.
What could go wrong? Redo is betting big on AI-driven commerce tools, an area now crowded with competitors building agents and personalisation engines.
Its expansion from returns into marketing, fulfilment, and customer service also pits it against established players in each category.
The signal: Redo's leap to a $1.25 billion valuation marks its arrival as a breakout-stage player, validating a strategy of turning post-purchase trust into a foothold across the wider commerce stack. With Smash Capital leading and early backers Pelion Venture Partners and Cervin Ventures doubling down, investors are betting that owning the returns workflow is a wedge into the AI-driven infrastructure brands will increasingly depend on.
