The growth equity deal was announced June 23, 2026, and is expected to close in the third quarter. Terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1917, Eide Bailly has grown into a firm with over 3,500 employees, more than $800 million in annual revenue, and over 50 US offices.

Why now? Eide Bailly's clients are wrestling with growing complexity around technology, data, and AI.

The firm says the capital will fund deeper investment in talent, technology, and infrastructure to keep up. It has been expanding through both organic growth and acquisitions.

Current leadership stays in place, including managing partner and chief executive officer Jeremy Hauk and chief operating officer Andy Spillum.

What could go wrong? The deal hinges on customary closing conditions, so it is not yet final.

After closing, Eide Bailly will split into an alternative practice structure. Eide Bailly LLP stays a licensed CPA firm handling audits and reviews; Eide Bailly Advisory LLC, not licensed, will provide non-attest advisory services.

That separation is meant to preserve independence and meet regulatory rules, but it adds organisational complexity.

The signal: Private capital keeps flowing into US accounting firms, a sector long owned by partners, with investors drawn to steady revenue, loyal clients, and the chance to modernise ageing firms through technology and AI. Eide Bailly's 109-year history and $800 million in annual revenue make it one of the larger mature firms to take outside money, and the backing of a financial-services specialist like Reverence Capital signals the trend is reaching the sector's biggest names.
