Monk CI raises $450K pre-seed to reinvent CI for AI-driven software teams

Founded by IIT Roorkee graduates Ujjwal Prashant and Nitin Mandale, Monk CI integrates with GitHub via a one-line change.
It claims to make GitHub Actions up to 10 times faster while cutting infrastructure costs by as much as 75%.
Why now? AI coding assistants are flooding engineering teams with code and pull requests, straining CI systems never built for these volumes.
Legacy tools buckle under slow Docker builds, concurrency limits, and opaque pricing. Monk CI says its architecture is built for that pressure.
It promises Docker builds up to 40 times faster, 4 times quicker cache restoration, and 3 times more compute performance — at a lower per-minute cost.
The platform also adds AI-generated summaries that explain failed builds in plain language, plus self-healing agents that open pull requests with suggested fixes.
What could go wrong? Monk CI's core infrastructure is still in development, and it must earn enterprise compliance certifications before winning larger customers.
It also faces entrenched rivals like GitHub Actions and CircleCI, where switching habits run deep.
The signal: As AI multiplies code output, the bottleneck moves downstream — to the pipelines that test and ship it.
Monk CI is betting that CI becomes the next big efficiency battleground. The fresh capital funds hiring, certifications, and a go-to-market push across India before a US expansion.
