Galaxy Digital invests in Digital Prime Technologies, deepening commitment to institutional digital asset lending

What's the deal? Galaxy Digital has made a strategic early-stage investment in Digital Prime TechnologiesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a provider of institutional digital asset solutions, the companies announced on June 23, 2026.

The deal deepens an existing tie. Galaxy was a launch participant on Tokenet, the institutional digital asset lending platform that Digital Prime built with EquiLendDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

Why now? Tokenet went live in May 2026, applying securities lending workflows, risk controls, and lifecycle management to digital assets.

Galaxy's move turns a live user into an investor, validating the platform just weeks after launch. Digital Prime will use the funds to speed up Tokenet's development and grow its institutional client base.

"The maturation of digital asset lending depends on infrastructure that institutions can trust from day one," said Max Bareiss, head of lending at Galaxy Digital.

What could go wrong? Digital asset lending has historically lacked the governance and transparency that institutions demand.

Tokenet aims to close that gap, but scaling depends on winning over cautious institutional players. EquiLend's global network provides the distribution to do so.

The signal: Galaxy Digital's move from launch participant to corporate backer fits Digital Prime's stated mission of leading the movement from traditional finance to digital finance. For an early-stage company, converting a live institutional user into a strategic investor is a strong validation of product-market fit just weeks after Tokenet's May 2026 launch.
