What's the deal? Hangzhou Nansu TechnologyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a digital medical startup treating speech, hearing, and cognitive disorders, has raised tens of millions of yuan in a Series A round.

The company is based in Hangzhou's Future Sci-Tech City, with a research centre in Shenzhen and a production base in Anji, Huzhou.

Why now? Nansu plans to use the funds to develop its "time-target" closed-loop brain-machine interface platform.

It will also fund clinical validation, regulatory filing, and commercialisation of its combined digital-therapy and electrical-stimulation treatment products.

Its flagship device, Xiaonan Listen-Speak, is billed as the world's first home-based smart rehabilitation tool covering children's core hearing and language training needs.

What could go wrong? Brain-machine interface products face long clinical validation and regulatory approval timelines.

Turning early-stage technology into approved, commercialised products is far from guaranteed, and the remaining funds must also stretch to build out a service network.

The signal: Backing from a state-linked fund alongside a private investor signals that early-stage brain-machine interface therapy is moving from research into a commercial race, with home-based devices like Xiaonan Listen-Speak positioning Nansu beyond the clinic.
