The ICO is providing €8.06 million, with Bankinter contributing €3.45 million.
Lignum Tech will use the funds to secure its timber supply through a dedicated drying and sorting line. It also plans an automated plant to manufacture industrialised façades and bathrooms.
Why now? The deal runs through the ICO MRR Verde line, backed by European Next Generation funds under Spain's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
That programme aims to push industrial growth and a shift toward more sustainable building.
The signal: Backing an early-stage company with debt rather than equity, the ICO — an investment fund — is using European Next Generation money to de-risk industrialised construction at a moment when Spain is courting faster, greener housing. Pairing that public capital with corporate lender Bankinter signals a deliberate push to turn factory-built homes into a competitive national industry.
