Pluri receives $1.25M advance from chairman-owned entity

What's the deal? PluriDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the Nasdaq-listed biotech, has received a $1,250,000 advance from Chutzpah Holdings LP, an entity owned by board chairman Alexandre Weinstein.

The funds, received on June 16, 2026, are earmarked for working capital and general corporate purposes.

The advance stems from an Advance Subscription Agreement signed June 14. Weinstein, an existing shareholder, agreed to put the money up front against a future financing round.

Why now? The deal sets a clear deadline: a board-approved offering must close on or before August 14, 2026.

The $1.25 million will then be credited toward the securities Chutzpah buys in that round, giving Pluri immediate cash while the larger raise comes together.

What could go wrong? Pluri warned it won't issue securities if doing so breaches laws, Nasdaq rules, its organisational documents, or share limits.

If the offering doesn't happen by the deadline, or the advance can't be fully applied, the leftover funds will instead buy Pluri securities on separately approved terms.

The signal: Pluri, a breakout-stage biotech whose patented technology aims to develop and manufacture next-generation cell-based products across multiple industries, is leaning on its own chairman to bridge to a larger raise. For a Nasdaq-listed company, insider-backed advances of this size point to a near-term financing window that the board is racing to close by mid-August.
