Advicenne secures €3.8M bond financing to extend cash runway to Q2 2027

The deal splits into two parts: €1.6 million in straight bonds and €2.2 million in convertible bonds.
Why now? Advicenne is navigating safeguard proceedings — a French restructuring process — and needs cash to push through.
The financing funds two priorities: finalising US registration of its lead asset, ADV7103, for distal renal tubular acidosis, and executing its financial restructuring.
An initial tranche of €400,000 in straight bonds and €1.1 million in convertible bonds has already closed, delivering €1.4 million in net cash.
What could go wrong? The straight bonds carry a 9% interest rate, a steep cost reflecting the company's distressed position.
Both bond issues benefit from a "post-money" privilege granted by the Paris Commercial Court, giving lenders priority — a sign of how delicately the restructuring is balanced.
Laurens has personally committed funds, signalling confidence but also highlighting how much rests on US approval for ADV7103.
The signal: Once a breakout-stage developer of treatments for rare kidney diseases, Advicenne now leans on long-standing backer Cemag Invest and its own chief executive officer to keep the lights on through safeguard proceedings. The bond structure — backed by a court-granted priority privilege — underscores how a single regulatory milestone, US approval for ADV7103, has become the company's make-or-break moment.
