LISSOME raises Series A for its AI kitchen robot push

What's the deal? Chinese AI kitchen robot brand LISSOMEDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised tens of millions of yuan in a Series A round.

Sequoia China and Brizan VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → led the round, with existing shareholders and HKX joining.

The cash will fund product upgrades, a next-generation AI kitchen robot, global expansion, supply chain build-out, and team growth.

Incubated at the XbotPark Ningbo base, LISSOME wants to bring robotics, smart sensing, motion control, and AI into the home kitchen.

Why now? Its first product, the R1 capsule dishwasher, is built for one-to-three-person households and skips the tricky installation of traditional machines.

The R1 hit number one in the dishwasher category on platforms including Xiaohongshu, TmallDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Douyin. It passed 100 million yuan in sales within 180 days of launch.

Overseas, the R1 recently raised ¥130 million on Japanese crowdfunding platform Makuake.

LISSOME plans to expand beyond Japan in 2026 and launch a second-generation capsule dishwasher in 2027, adding more AI and robotics.

What could go wrong? Traditional kitchen appliances automate single tasks; the hard part is recipe choice, ingredient prep, heat control, and timing.

Solving those systemic problems with AI and robotics is a far taller order than building a fast dishwasher. The company must prove it can move from cleaning into prep and cooking.

The signal: Backing from Sequoia China marks a notable vote of confidence for an early-stage company that has so far proven itself only in the dishwasher category. The real test is whether LISSOME can parlay that traction into a broader AI kitchen robot line — a far more complex bet than the compact, install-free niche it has cracked at home and in Japan.
