Desklamp raises ~$11M private placement (SEC Form D)
What's the deal? Desklamp, the document-reading and note-making startup, has raised approximately $11M in an equity private placement, according to a Form D filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The filing reports just under $10.96M sold of a $10,962,541 offering, with 18 accredited investors participating. The first sale was dated 5 June 2026 and no investor names were disclosed.
Why it matters. The raise was conducted under Regulation D, Rule 506, which lets companies tap accredited investors without a public offering or general solicitation. Desklamp said the capital will support operational and strategic initiatives but did not detail how the funds will be allocated.
