Founded in 2021 by brothers MalikDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Badr BelkezizDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Agenz has built an end-to-end platform for real estate transactions in a market historically plagued by opaque pricing and informal brokerage networks. It offers property valuation tools, market data analytics, software for real estate professionals, and a buyer-facing transactional layer.

By May 2026, Agenz.ma was drawing more than 730,000 monthly visits, making it one of Morocco's leading property platforms by traffic. The company did not disclose revenue or transaction volume.

Why now? Morocco's residential property sector has seen significant capital inflows over the past decade, driven by diaspora demand, urban housing programmes, and growing institutional interest in affordable housing finance. Yet valuations remain inconsistent, transaction costs high, and data fragmented — creating a clear opening for a platform that consolidates all three.

Agenz launched its transactional platform in 2023 and has since reported sustained adoption across both consumer and professional segments.

What could go wrong? The company hasn't disclosed gross transaction value or revenue, making it hard to assess commercial traction beyond traffic numbers. International expansion — which Agenz flagged as an ambition — adds execution risk, and the company hasn't specified which markets it plans to enter or when.

Morocco's real estate sector also carries regulatory complexity. Agenz has committed to placing "trust, transparency, and data protection" at the centre of its roadmap, but navigating informal market structures remains a challenge.

The signal: Dealroom classifies Agenz as a "breakout stage" company, notable for a startup raising its first institutional seed round — suggesting momentum that caught investors' attention early. The co-lead structure, pairing a European VC (Breega) with a major African corporate venture arm (Attijariwafa Ventures) and a Francophone Africa specialist (Saviu Ventures), points to a growing playbook for proptech in emerging markets: combine Western growth capital with local distribution infrastructure to tackle data-scarce, informal sectors that pure-play digital entrants have struggled to crack.
