Synvo AI raises $1M seed to give enterprise AI a memory

What's the deal? Synvo AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Singapore-based deep-tech startup spun out of Nanyang Technological University's MMLab, has raised $1M in seed funding led by Fuel Ventures AsiaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The company is building what it calls an Enterprise Memory Layer — infrastructure that lets AI systems retain, retrieve, and reason across an organisation's documents, emails, video, audio, and business data.

The funding will accelerate commercialisation, expand engineering capacity, and support enterprise deployments across Asia.

Why now? Enterprise AI has a memory problem: every session starts blank, with no organisational context or accumulated understanding. Synvo AI's technology aims to fix that by giving AI systems persistent institutional memory that compounds in value over time.

Early results are striking. A Singapore-based manufacturer cut its quotation generation workflow from 45 minutes to under five minutes using the platform — reclaiming roughly 200 hours of sales capacity per month and generating an estimated SGD 120,000 in annual productivity savings.

"By giving AI an institutional memory, it accumulates value the longer a company uses it," said Saim Yeong Harng, co-founder and chief executive officer. "Instead of treating every interaction as a new task, AI can build on organisational knowledge."

What could go wrong? The company is tackling a hard technical problem in a crowded market. Larger players with deeper pockets — from cloud providers to established enterprise software firms — are also racing to add memory and context to AI systems. Convincing enterprises to adopt a startup's on-premises solution requires sustained trust-building, especially around data security and governance.

Scaling across Southeast Asia's fragmented markets, each with distinct regulatory environments and enterprise cultures, adds another layer of complexity.

The signal: Fuel Ventures Asia, classified as a corporate investor on Dealroom, backing an early-stage NTU spinout underscores growing corporate appetite for enterprise AI infrastructure in Southeast Asia — particularly solutions that keep sensitive data on-premises. With the broader region's enterprise AI market still nascent and fragmented, Synvo AI's partnership with Indonesia's Sobat Bisnis Group suggests the startup is betting that distribution through established business groups, rather than direct sales, may be the faster path to scale.
