Founded by Serena Dang (chief executive officer) and Jason Wu (chief technology officer), Vali Health has built an AI-native safety infrastructure that provides 24/7 continuity of care. Its AI agents help home care agencies automate workforce management and coordination, saving mid-sized agencies upwards of 20 hours per week.

The company plans to use the funds to expand operations and business reach.

Why now? Home care is one of the fastest-growing segments of healthcare, yet agencies still rely heavily on manual processes for scheduling, staffing, and coordination. Vali Health says it has seen explosive demand since launch — growing 400% in 12 months to serve agencies in nearly 100 locations across 30 states.

That traction suggests the market is ready for automation tools that can handle the operational complexity of distributed caregiving networks.

What could go wrong? Deploying AI in healthcare — especially in home settings where vulnerable populations are involved — carries significant regulatory and safety risks. The company brands itself as "responsible AI," but trust will need to be earned with agencies, caregivers, and patients alike. Scaling across 30 states also means navigating a patchwork of state-level regulations.

The signal: AI is steadily moving from back-office automation into operationally critical healthcare roles. Vali Health's early traction hints at a broader pattern: mid-sized care providers are hungry for tools that reduce administrative burden without sacrificing safety. As the US population ages and caregiver shortages worsen, expect more startups targeting the operational backbone of home-based care.
