Floox raises €2M led by Inclimo to scale EV fast-charging across Europe

What's the deal? FlooxDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Barcelona-based maker of DC fast chargers for electric vehicles, has raised $2M in early-stage venture funding led by Inclimo Climate Tech FundDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, with participation from Avançsa, the investment arm of Catalonia's regional government. The company plans to use the capital to expand internationally, pursue certifications in new markets, and grow its commercial team.

Why now? Global EV sales are breaking records year after year, according to the International Energy Agency, and EU mandates require a massive buildout of fast-charging infrastructure along major transport corridors. That structural demand is creating a window for hardware makers that can deliver reliable, locally manufactured chargers at scale.

Floox emerged in 2022 as a division of Premium PSU, a Spanish industrial group specialising in power electronics, before spinning out as an independent company in 2024. That industrial heritage gives it something most early-stage startups lack: a mature, production-ready product line.

Its portfolio spans two families. Lyra offers compact 7–80kW chargers for urban and commercial locations. Lynx delivers up to 400kW for highway corridors and heavy-duty fleets — buses, trucks, and last-mile logistics.

The chargers claim over 97% energy efficiency, use 70% recycled steel, and are 90% recyclable. Some models can be installed in under an hour. Floox also offers FlooxCare, a remote monitoring and predictive maintenance platform that cuts operating costs for charging network operators.

"The fast-charging market needs technologically advanced solutions that position us in a value segment and differentiate us from commodity products," said Jordi Gazo, Floox's founder and chief executive officer.

What could go wrong? The EV charging hardware market is fiercely competitive, with well-funded incumbents like ABBDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, KempowerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Alpitronic already established across Europe. Floox's outsourced manufacturing model keeps costs low but could introduce supply chain risks as it scales. Regulatory certification in new markets is both expensive and time-consuming — a real bottleneck for a company at this stage.

The signal: Floox's round is modest by hardware standards, but the investor mix is telling: a dedicated climate tech fund paired with a regional government vehicle signals that public and private capital are aligning behind Europe's effort to build a homegrown EV charging supply chain. For an early-stage company already shipping production-ready units, the real validation may be less about the cheque size and more about the certification pipeline it unlocks across new European markets.
