Resand expands Norion Bank loan facility to €25M to finance new customer agreements

What's the deal: ResandDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the Finnish foundry-sand reclamation specialist, has expanded its equipment-financing facility with Norion BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → from €14.5M (agreed November 2025) to €25M. The additional headroom is earmarked for new sand-reclamation machinery to support recently signed Sand-as-a-Service customer agreements.

Why now: Resand signed Sand-as-a-Service deals with Germany's AGVS Aluminium Werke and Slovenia's Termit in February 2026, pushing it deeper into the DACH and Central European foundry markets. CEO Mikko Immonen frames the larger facility as a foundation for further internationalisation, and Norion Bank's Karl-Mikael Holmbäck calls it a "natural next step" in a long-term partnership built around Resand's asset-backed, contract-driven model.

What could go wrong: The financing is debt, not equity — it scales with bookings but also adds servicing obligations against equipment-heavy capex. Execution now hinges on converting the DACH and Nordic pipeline into installed, revenue-generating units fast enough to keep ahead of the drawdown schedule.
