Aadyah Aerospace raises $3.3M Series A to fund US acquisition

What's the deal? Hyderabad-based Aadyah AerospaceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a defence and space tech startup founded by former ISRO scientists, has raised $3.3M (₹31.5 crore) in a Series A round led by Helios HoldingsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. Angel investor Meenu Sharma also participated.

The round values the company at roughly $21.6M — a 26% jump from its pre-Series A valuation. Aadyah has now raised over $8.4M to date from backers including SiriusOneDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Keiretsu ForumDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

Founded in 2016, Aadyah develops mission-critical systems for space, launch vehicles, and defence applications, including propulsion systems, avionics, and guidance and navigation technologies.

Why now? India's spacetech ecosystem is booming. Skyroot Aerospace recently became the sector's first unicorn after a $60M raise. Other startups like Xovian Aerospace ($2M) and SatLeo LabsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → ($2.2M) have also closed rounds in recent months.

According to regulatory filings, Aadyah plans to use the proceeds to acquire a US-based company — alongside funding working capital and operations. The acquisition target was not disclosed.

What could go wrong? Aadyah's operating revenue fell 9% in FY25 to ₹14.12 crore, though it did swing to profitability with a ₹1.47 crore profit after a loss the prior year. A cross-border acquisition adds integration risk, especially for a company still generating modest revenue.

The round may also be part of a larger fundraise, meaning final valuation figures could shift.

The signal: Defence and space startups in India are increasingly looking beyond domestic markets. Aadyah's plan to acquire a US company signals a maturing ambition among Indian spacetech firms — not just to build locally, but to buy capabilities abroad. With government policy opening up the sector and investor appetite growing, India's private space industry is entering a new phase of consolidation and internationalisation.
