Willow raises $7M seed to govern enterprise AI agents

Why now? AI agent adoption is outpacing governance. According to Willow, 79% of companies have introduced AI agents internally, and 73% run multi-agent systems — yet 65% have reported agent-related incidents in the past 12 months. As these digital workers gain access to sensitive tools and data, the gap between deployment speed and security oversight is widening fast.
"Currently businesses find themselves in an impossible trade-off: either lock AI down because it can't be trusted or allow AI agents to operate with unrestrained access to systems and data and hope nothing goes wrong," said Eyal Ben Ezra, chief executive officer and co-founder of Willow.
What could go wrong? Willow is entering a nascent category where buyer budgets and procurement processes are still forming. The signal: Willow reflects a broader pattern: every new wave of enterprise technology eventually spawns a governance layer. Just as cloud adoption created markets for cloud security and identity management, the rise of autonomous AI agents is generating demand for agent-specific oversight tools.
