Diverzify lands $240M to scale its national commercial flooring platform
What's the deal? Diverzify, an Atlanta-based commercial flooring and facility services company, has completed a $240 million recapitalisation led by affiliates of Paceline Equity Partners, a Dallas-based private equity firm. The capital will fund organic growth, strategic acquisitions, expanded service capabilities, and team investment.
Since 2020, Diverzify has built a national network spanning 65 locations with more than 10,000 flooring and installation professionals. In 2025 alone, it served over 11,000 customers and completed more than 60,000 projects.
Why now? The company says it has finished the "buildout" phase of its platform and is shifting to execution and expansion. Commercial flooring has historically been a fragmented industry dominated by local operators — Diverzify's pitch is that it can deliver national consistency while retaining local expertise.
"This significant investment allows us to continue growing, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, while staying focused on what matters most, supporting our customers and executing at a high level," said Jordan Zmijewski, chief executive officer of Diverzify.
What could go wrong? Roll-up strategies in fragmented industries carry well-known risks: integrating acquisitions, maintaining service quality across dozens of locations, and avoiding the cultural clashes that come with absorbing local operators into a national platform. Scaling too fast could dilute the local expertise that makes the model work.
The signal: Private equity continues to pour capital into unsexy, fragmented service industries ripe for consolidation — from HVAC to pest control to, now, commercial flooring. Paceline highlighted its own "flooring industry expertise," suggesting the firm sees a proven playbook here. For the broader facilities services market, Diverzify's recapitalisation signals that investors still see significant room to build platform-scale businesses in trades where national players remain rare.
