Western Computer acquires Infuzion Solutions to deepen wine and spirits ERP expertise

What's the deal? Western Computer, a leading Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner, has acquired Infuzion Solutions, a Tennessee-based Microsoft partner specialising in ERP systems for the wine and spirits industry. The deal brings together Western Computer's scale and Infuzion's 15-plus years of dedicated wine and spirits expertise under one roof, backed by Pine Services Group.

Infuzion's former chief executive officer, Corrie Olson, will join Western Computer as chief operating officer. The combined entity will serve wineries, distributors, and suppliers with purpose-built solutions on Microsoft's Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.

Why now? Both companies operate within Microsoft's Dynamics ecosystem, and many legacy customers still run on the older Dynamics GP platform. Microsoft has been pushing users toward its cloud-based Business Central product, creating urgency for partners to consolidate expertise and guide migrations.

Western Computer already offers 365WineTrade, a wine-and-spirits-specific ERP built on Business Central. Infuzion brings its own Infuzion® BC solution for the same sector. Combining the two gives the merged company a broader product portfolio and deeper bench of specialists at a moment when the industry is actively modernising.

What could go wrong? Merging two partner firms with overlapping but distinct products risks confusing existing customers about which platform to adopt. Retaining Infuzion's boutique culture inside a larger organisation is another classic integration challenge — something leadership acknowledged by emphasising continuity of care.

The wine and spirits sector is also relatively niche. Betting heavily on one vertical means the combined firm's growth is tied to that industry's health and willingness to invest in new technology.

The signal: This deal reflects a broader consolidation trend among Microsoft channel partners. As cloud migrations accelerate, smaller boutique firms with deep vertical expertise are being absorbed by larger partners that can offer scale, methodology, and stronger relationships with Microsoft. For customers in specialised industries like wine and spirits, the hope is that consolidation delivers both the personal touch of a niche provider and the resources of a major partner. Whether that balance holds will depend on execution.
