InstallerGroup Schweiz expands beyond Zürich with Bern acquisition

Elektro ERTI AG specialises in B2B electrical services in the Bern region, serving clients in property management, industry, and the public sector. It generated roughly US$6.42M in revenue in 2025.

The company will continue to operate under its existing name. Founder Ertugrul Kalmaz stays on to lead the business alongside Marc Schaller and Süleyman Memis.

Why now? The acquisition is part of a longer-term growth strategy, according to Boris Bischoff, chief executive officer of InstallerGroup Schweiz. "This group addition marks the starting point of our expansion beyond the greater Zürich area," he said.

InstallerGroup, which operates across Denmark and Switzerland, now counts 47 companies group-wide. The Swiss arm appears to be accelerating its buy-and-build approach to establish a broader national footprint.

What could go wrong? Integration risk is the classic challenge in roll-up strategies. Keeping a founder-led company's culture and client relationships intact while folding it into a larger group is never straightforward — especially when expanding into a new region for the first time.
