Czech insurance broker Renomia expands in Baltics with two Lithuanian acquisitions

What's the deal? Renomia Group, a Czech insurance brokerage holding, has acquired majority stakes in two Lithuanian firms — Draudimo bites (known as Insurance Bee) and Žalų sprendimai (Claim Solutions). The deal makes Renomia one of the three largest insurance brokerage groups in Lithuania and adds over 40 specialists to its roster.

Both companies were previously led by siblings Mindaugas, Rugilė, and Karolis Šatkauskas, who will stay on as management under their existing brands.

Draudimo bites focuses on insurance brokerage, particularly in vehicle, transport, and carrier liability insurance. Žalų sprendimai specialises in settling complex insurance claims, often with an international dimension. Both plan to expand into additional insurance segments under Renomia's ownership.

Why now? This isn't Renomia's first move in the Baltics. It acquired Latvian market leader R&D in 2020 and Lithuanian firm iVP Partners in 2022. The latest deal deepens the group's footprint in a fast-growing regional market.

"To continue growing, we need a partner with international reach who understands how we work," said Mindaugas Šatkauskas. "Renomia is exactly that partner."

The signal: Renomia's third Baltic acquisition in five years underscores how Central European financial services firms are methodically assembling cross-border platforms in the region's fragmented insurance brokerage market. With home markets increasingly consolidated, the Baltics offer a rare combination of EU-regulated environments, growing premium volumes, and owner-led firms open to partnership — a recipe for roll-up strategies that trade on scale and international connectivity.
