Gilson Gray acquires Perth-based Wyllie & Henderson to expand across Tayside

What's the deal? Edinburgh-headquartered law firm Gilson Gray has acquired Perth-based Wyllie & Henderson, calling the move "a significant step in its expansion." The deal brings Wyllie & Henderson consultants Ian Lindsay and Angela Scott into the Gilson Gray fold, along with eight staff members and legal director Sandra Teall, who transferred from Dundee.

The acquisition strengthens Gilson Gray's offer across residential and commercial property, wills, and power of attorney matters in the Tayside region.

Why now? Gilson Gray is actively expanding while other firms are pulling back. Lindsay Darroch, partner and head of Gilson Gray's Dundee office, said: "At a time when many firms are scaling back, it's exciting to be investing and growing, giving clients greater access to expertise and support."

The firm already operates offices in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Dundee, Forfar, North Berwick, Lincoln, and London. Adding Wyllie & Henderson's Perth base deepens its footprint in a region it has been building out.
