W.W. Clyde acquires CKC Construction to expand in southeast Arizona
What's the deal? W.W. Clyde & Co., a subsidiary of Clyde Companies, Inc., has acquired CKC Construction & Materials, a southeast Arizona-based construction and materials firm. The deal, announced on May 19, 2026, extends W.W. Clyde's heavy civil construction operations into new territory across the region.
CKC specialises in asphalt paving, earthwork, grading, concrete, drainage, and materials supply. It has worked on major projects including the Freeport-McMoRan Safford and Morenci Mines and regularly serves the Arizona Department of Transportation.
CKC will transition under the W.W. Clyde brand but continue providing the same materials and construction services throughout Arizona.
Why now? W.W. Clyde, founded in Springville, Utah, in 1926, is approaching its centennial. With more than 1,400 employees, it is one of the largest civil contractors in the western US. The acquisition adds mining and infrastructure expertise in a region with significant ongoing demand for both.
