Elis expands Swiss network with Wäsche Perle acquisition
What's the deal? Elis, a global leader in circular services, has acquired 100% of Wäsche Perle, a laundry services company based in Interlaken, Switzerland. The deal, announced on May 13, consolidates Elis's existing network in the country. Wäsche Perle generated roughly €13.5M in revenue in 2025 and employs 120 people.
Wäsche Perle operates a modern laundry facility near Berne, in the heart of one of Switzerland's top tourist destinations. It provides flat linen rental and maintenance services to hospitality and restaurant clients.
The existing management team will stay in place to continue developing the business locally. Wäsche Perle will be consolidated into Elis's accounts from May 1, 2026.
Why now? Elis, which operates across 31 countries, has been on a steady acquisition path to strengthen its European footprint. Switzerland's robust hospitality sector — particularly in tourist hubs like Interlaken — makes it a natural target for expanding linen services.
The signal: The deal reflects continued consolidation in Europe's circular services and industrial laundry market. Large operators like Elis are snapping up regional players to build density in their networks, drive operational efficiencies, and lock in recurring hospitality revenue. For smaller operators in attractive markets, the message is clear: acquirers are knocking.
