EVOQ Group merges two Amazon agencies to launch Brightshift Commerce
What's the deal? The EVOQ Group, a collective of independently owned marketing agencies, has acquired Amazon specialty agency Red View Ventures and merged it with its existing Amazon agency, SaleSurf Growth. The combined entity will operate under a new brand: Brightshift Commerce. Financial terms were not disclosed.
David Holmes, former owner of Red View Ventures, will become chief growth officer of Brightshift Commerce. Nenad Filipovic, current chief operating officer at SaleSurf, will serve as COO of the merged agency.
Why now? EVOQ says it has already seen strong cross-selling between its Amazon agencies and the rest of its collective, with clients using multiple agencies within the group. Combining the two Amazon-focused shops under one roof is designed to deepen that flywheel — offering services from listing optimisation and advertising to brand protection and full-funnel marketplace growth.
"Combining them under Brightshift Commerce makes us more attractive to potential clients and, more importantly, allows us to serve our existing clients even better," said Scott Brandon, chief executive officer of The EVOQ Group.
What could go wrong? Merging two boutique agencies always carries integration risk. Clients chose Red View Ventures and SaleSurf for their specialist, hands-on service — maintaining that feel inside a larger structure is the key challenge. Any disruption to client relationships or team culture during the transition could undermine the deal's rationale.
The signal: The e-commerce agency landscape is consolidating as brands demand more comprehensive marketplace support from fewer partners. Amazon's dominance as a sales channel means that specialist agencies are attractive acquisition targets — and holding companies like EVOQ see value in rolling them up into unified offerings.
