FutureRange snaps up Echo IT in second acquisition of 2025

What's the deal? Irish managed service provider FutureRangeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired Nenagh-based Echo ITDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, its second deal this year, as it pushes ahead with an all-island growth strategy. Echo IT, which serves clients in veterinary, distribution, medical, and agri-foods sectors, will be folded into FutureRange's Limerick operations.

"This is another step in delivering our all-island growth strategy," said Danny McEntee, FutureRange's managing director. "Echo IT is a strong regional business with deep client relationships, and there is a natural fit in how we approach service delivery and technology."

Why now? FutureRange has previously announced plans to create up to 50 roles over the next 24 months, driven by rising demand for cybersecurity, cloud, and managed IT services. The two firms already had a working relationship — particularly in cybersecurity — with aligned technology platforms, making integration straightforward.

Donal Bray, Echo IT's managing director, said joining FutureRange gives his clients "access to broader expertise and a more resilient service platform."

What could go wrong? Acquisitions of small regional MSPs always carry integration risk. Retaining Echo IT's client relationships through the transition will be critical — especially in niche sectors like veterinary and agri-foods, where trust and continuity matter. FutureRange says it will maintain service continuity, but execution is everything.

The signal: FutureRange's buy-and-build approach mirrors a wider consolidation wave in the Irish managed services market, where rising demand for cybersecurity and cloud expertise is pushing smaller regional MSPs to either scale or be absorbed. Dealroom lists FutureRange as an early-growth company, suggesting it is using acquisitive momentum — two deals already in 2025 — to accelerate past organic growth limits and position itself as a credible all-island platform for mid-market clients.
