Suntera Global expands US footprint with acquisition of EAC
What's the deal? Suntera Global, a Jersey-headquartered provider of fund, corporate, and private wealth services, has completed its acquisition of US-based Experienced Advisory Consultants LLC (EAC). The deal, first announced in April, adds two new offices in Florida and Connecticut to Suntera's portfolio.
EAC provides outsourced solutions and operational support to alternative investment managers across the US, serving clients from pre-launch funds to multi-billion-dollar institutions — including hedge funds, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and family offices.
The EAC team will operate as "EAC, a Suntera Global Company" before rebranding to Suntera at a later date.
Why now? Suntera has been steadily building its US presence. It acquired Socium (now Suntera Fund Services) in 2022 and has identified continued US expansion as a key strategic objective. CEO David Hudson called the deal part of an effort to "expand and strengthen our footprint in the US market."
The acquisition bolsters Suntera's middle office, outsourced solutions, and operational support capabilities for alternative investment structures.
What could go wrong? Integration is always the hard part. Merging teams across multiple offices and eventually rebranding EAC carries execution risk. Retaining EAC's client relationships — built on long-standing trust, as co-founder Ed Fasano noted — during the transition will be critical.
The signal: The deal reflects a broader consolidation trend in fund administration and outsourced services, as providers seek scale and geographic reach to serve increasingly global alternative investment managers. Independent firms like Suntera are using acquisitions to compete with larger players by stitching together specialist capabilities across jurisdictions.
