Golfmanager acquires SmartPanel to consolidate golf club software
What's the deal? Golfmanager, an all-in-one software platform for golf club operations, has acquired SmartPanel, a business intelligence (BI) and customer relationship management (CRM) platform serving the golf industry. The deal integrates SmartPanel's data analysis and CRM tools directly into Golfmanager's core platform, giving clubs a single system instead of cobbling together third-party tools.
As part of the agreement, SmartPanel chief executive Antonio Conde will stay on until the integration is complete and take on the role of managing director for Golfmanager in Spain, overseeing operations and commercial expansion there.
Why now? The acquisition fits into Golfmanager's broader growth strategy as it pushes for global expansion. Adding native BI and CRM capabilities makes its platform stickier — and harder for rivals to match — at a time when golf clubs are under growing pressure to digitise operations and consolidate their tech stacks.
"This acquisition represents a decisive step forward in our growth roadmap," said Daniel Sillari, co-founder and co-chief executive of Golfmanager. "Antonio brings invaluable market expertise, deep industry knowledge, and a strategic vision that is vital for our global expansion."
What could go wrong? Integrating two platforms is never simple. Existing SmartPanel clients will want assurance that service quality holds up during the transition. Golfmanager says those clients will continue to receive the same standard of service, now backed by its international infrastructure — but the proof will be in execution over the coming months.
The signal: Vertical software consolidation continues apace, even in niche markets like golf. The playbook is familiar: acquire a complementary tool, embed it natively, and pitch the result as a one-stop shop. For golf clubs juggling separate systems for bookings, analytics, and customer management, fewer vendors means less friction — and that's a bet Golfmanager is clearly making as it scales internationally.
