Aistra buys majority stake in Veracity Services to build AI-driven F&A platform
What's the deal? Aistra, an AI managed services firm focused on enterprise operations, has acquired a controlling stake in Veracity Services, a Singapore-based finance and accounting (F&A) services company. The deal combines Veracity's established F&A delivery capabilities with Aistra's AI-augmented technology to create a scalable, tech-led platform for finance, accounting, and transaction management.
Veracity Services supports more than 20 clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and APAC, with expertise in accounting, audit support, and transaction management. Aistra brings proprietary AI solutions integrated into finance workflows.
The combined entity will operate from offices in Mumbai, Pune, Dubai, London, New York, Singapore, Colombo, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
Why now? Enterprises are increasingly looking to modernise F&A functions through AI-augmented automation and richer financial analytics. The deal positions the combined entity to capitalise on that shift by pairing domain expertise with AI-enabled execution across core F&A processes.
What could go wrong? Integrating two firms across nine cities and multiple markets is no small feat. Cultural and operational friction could slow the promised benefits. And with AI adoption in finance still maturing, converting the "AI-native" vision into measurable client value — as the companies themselves acknowledge — remains the core challenge.
The signal: This acquisition reflects a broader trend of AI services firms snapping up domain-specific businesses to build vertically integrated platforms. Rather than selling AI tools as standalone products, companies like Aistra are embedding them directly into established service delivery operations — betting that the real value lies in combining human expertise with AI at the workflow level.
"Aistra will redefine how finance and accounting operations will take AI solutions beyond the hype to real and measurable value," said Sulakshana Patankar, co-founder and group chief financial officer of Aistra.
Arul Sivagananathan, board member and director at Veracity Services, added: "Partnering with Aistra enables us to develop new AI-based solutions, enhance existing ones, and make our team truly AI-native and future ready."
