Twinning Software closes first investment round with Club de la Pyme as strategic investor

What's the deal? Twinning Software, a Spanish startup building a digital twin and hyperautomation platform for professional advisory firms, has closed its first investment round with Club de la PymeDealroom has a profile for this one. The platform uses native AI to virtualise up to 85% of administrative tasks at accounting and advisory firms, claiming it can multiply production capacity by 400% without adding staff. Club de la Pyme, a business services network focused on Spanish SMEs, brings Twinning direct access to the exact market it targets.

Why now? According to Deloitte's January 2026 "State of AI in the Enterprise" report — based on surveys of more than 3,200 business leaders across 24 countries — AI is shifting from pilot phase to scalability, yet only 37% of organisations are redesigning core processes around AI. Just 25% have moved experiments into production with measurable impact.

Co-founders Ignasi Vidal and Lluís Casadevall launched Twinning in January 2026 after decades working inside Spain's advisory sector. Vidal spent nearly 40 years in the ecosystem, including roles at Sage, teaching at EADA Business School, and consulting for advisory firms. Casadevall previously led R&D at Sage and ADPDealroom has a profile for this one. "The professional firm is one of the most knowledge-dense sectors in the Spanish business fabric, but also one of the least capable of scaling that knowledge profitably," Vidal said.

What could go wrong? Advisory firms have spent years digitising with generic software, partial automations, and AI bolted onto legacy systems — and many remain sceptical of yet another transformation promise. Convincing a traditionally conservative sector to adopt a purpose-built platform will require proving real ROI quickly. Twinning also enters a crowded market for AI-powered business automation, where larger players have far deeper pockets.

The signal: The deal reflects a growing trend of vertical AI startups targeting specific industries rather than building horizontal tools. In sectors like professional services — where institutional knowledge walks out the door every time an employee leaves — purpose-built platforms have a clear opening. Club de la Pyme's backing signals that intermediary business networks increasingly see themselves as launchpads for sector-specific tech, not just service providers.
