The San Francisco-based company makes Quicktome, an FDA-cleared platform that uses AI and connectomics to map individual brains — visualising functional regions and neural pathways responsible for language, movement, and cognition. Clinicians use these maps to avoid neurological complications during procedures and improve patient outcomes.
The capital will fund two priorities: scaling sales and clinical support staff to serve a growing base of US healthcare networks, and developing next-generation brain AI tools for new markets like brain computer interfaces (BCI), stroke, and movement disorders.
Why now? The round follows a key reimbursement milestone — a new CPT code (1039T) that establishes a billing pathway for connectomic analysis across the US healthcare system. That code makes it significantly easier for hospitals to adopt and pay for the technology, creating a commercial inflection point.
