Reexen (Jiutian Ruixin) raises 100M CNY Series A led by Xinghang/Rockets Capital

What's the deal? Jiutian Ruixin, a Chinese developer of sensing-computing-memory integrated chips, has closed a new funding round of over 100 million yuan (roughly $14M). The round was led by Xinghang Capital.

The company builds chips based on brain-inspired computing, using a mixed analogue-digital approach to integrate sensing, storage, and computation on a single chip. It has already reached mass production and commercial sales.

Why now? The funds will go toward what the company calls MPM — Memory-Processor-Model joint innovation. The goal is to build next-generation intelligent systems by strengthening its core technology stack, system architecture, product development, and industry partnerships.

China's push for semiconductor self-sufficiency continues to fuel investment into homegrown chip designers, particularly those working on novel architectures that could leapfrog conventional designs.

What could go wrong? Brain-inspired and in-memory computing chips remain niche. Competing against established chipmakers with deep pockets and proven architectures is a steep challenge, especially in winning large-scale commercial adoption.

Geopolitical tensions and export controls could also complicate access to advanced manufacturing tools and international markets.

The signal: Jiutian Ruixin remains at the early growth stage, and lead investor Rockets CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (星航资本 / Xinghang Capital)'s backing underscores continued fund-level conviction in China's alternative chip architectures. As domestic semiconductor investment increasingly targets designs that sidestep reliance on cutting-edge lithography, sensing-computing-memory integration offers a pathway that aligns with both China's self-sufficiency goals and the efficiency demands of edge AI workloads.
