Apptronik raises $520M at $5.5B valuation to scale humanoid robot Apollo

Austin-based Apptronik will use the capital to commercialise its humanoid robot, Apollo, expand pilot programmes, and scale production.

Why now? Investors are pouring billions into humanoid robotics, betting advances in artificial intelligence will speed commercial use. Apptronik said strong inbound interest after its initial raise led it to price the extension at roughly three times last year’s valuation.
It is focused on manufacturing and logistics, running pilots for repeatable tasks such as material handling and sorting. It plans to expand into healthcare, retail, hospitality, and eventually homes.
