Mews has raised $300 million in a Series D funding round that values the hospitality software provider at $2.5 billion, underscoring its ambitions to become the leading operating system for hotels worldwide. The New York-headquartered company, which provides cloud-based software spanning property management, point-of-sale, revenue management, housekeeping and payments, now serves 15,000 customers with more than 132,000 monthly active hoteliers across 85 countries. Chief executive Matt Welle said the fresh capital will accelerate investment in artificial intelligence, with plans to embed “agent-driven” systems across the platform to automate complex workflows, cut cognitive load for staff and improve the guest experience. Founder Richard Valtr described Mews as “powering ahead” of other hospitality companies in AI and “agentic hospitality,” reiterating a vision of making Mews-powered hotels the most profitable in the industry.

EQT Growth partner Kirk Lepke said hospitality’s core systems remain “decades behind” despite the sector’s size, arguing that Mews is setting a modern, AI-enabled technology standard capable of reducing fragmentation across hotel tech stacks. Atomico partner Laura Connell added that the pace of innovation and global reach of the platform match growing customer expectations for speed, service and personalization, positioning Mews as “a generational company” in hospitality technology.

Mews plans to use the funding to scale its embedded payments and broader fintech infrastructure, positioning itself as a connector between guest experience and revenue while pushing further into North America and Europe and entering new markets. The raise follows the firm’s fourteenth acquisition, generative AI analytics specialist DataChat, and comes shortly after Mews was named the world’s top Property Management System for the third consecutive year and the top Hotel Point of Sale System by Hotel Tech Report. The funding round remains subject to customary regulatory closing conditions.
