Cerebras in Talks to Raise $1B at $22B Valuation Ahead of IPO
Cerebras Systems is in discussions to raise around $1 billion in new funding at a pre-money valuation of roughly $22 billion, according to people familiar with the matter, as the AI chipmaker prepares for a potential public listing.
The talks, which remain private and could still change, would mark a sharp increase from the company’s previous valuation of $8.1 billion in September 2025. Cerebras is understood to be pressing ahead with plans for an initial public offering, potentially as early as 2026, regardless of whether the new round is completed.
Founded in 2016 and based in California, Cerebras designs large-scale processors tailored for training and running artificial intelligence models.
