Accenture to Acquire Faculty AI, Deepening Focus on Applied and Responsible AI

AccentureDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has agreed to acquire London-based artificial intelligence company Faculty for an undisclosed sum, strengthening its position in applied AI, data science and enterprise decision-making across the private and public sectors.

Founded in 2014, Faculty AI has built a business around helping organisations design, deploy and govern AI systems in complex, high-stakes environments.

The company combines consulting services with proprietary software, working with large enterprises and government bodies on projects that range from predictive analytics and optimisation to AI safety and security.

Its work during the Covid-19 pandemic, when it supported UK public services with data-driven planning tools, helped raise its profile and cement close ties with government clients.

Faculty employs around 400 people, including data scientists, engineers and researchers, and has positioned itself as a specialist in “responsible AI”, emphasising transparency, robustness and operational reliability alongside performance.

Under the terms of the deal, Faculty’s team will join Accenture, and co-founder and CEO Marc WarnerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → will take on a new role as Accenture’s CTO.

Accenture has said it plans to make Faculty's flagship product, Faculty Frontier, available to its global client base, integrating the platform into its broader suite of data and AI services.
