Fire Point Defence reportedly set to receive $760M from UAE’s EDGE Group at ~$2.5B valuation
Fire Point Defence, the Ukrainian manufacturer of the FP-1 long-range strike drone, has reportedly agreed to sell a 30% stake to UAE defence conglomerate EDGE GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → for $760 million. The deal is said to value the company at approximately $2.5 billion, which—if confirmed—would position it as a major defence unicorn.
However, the transaction has not been finalized and remains subject to regulatory review, including approval by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. As such, both the investment and valuation are still unconfirmed at this stage.
The reported investment is expected to support Fire Point’s production capabilities across its portfolio, including the FP-1 (1,400 km range) and the heavy-class FP-2 drone (100 kg payload), while accelerating development of the “Flamingo” cruise missile (3,000 km range) and a new ballistic missile program.
