Founded in 2019, CoinMENA operates as a regulated exchange serving users across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). It holds licences from the Central Bank of Bahrain and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in Dubai.

The platform has positioned itself as a compliant gateway for retail and institutional investors seeking access to digital assets in markets with increasingly formalised regulatory regimes.

Paribu CEO Yasin OralDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → said the acquisition represents a significant step in the company’s regional expansion strategy, allowing it to extend its licensed operations into what he described as some of the world’s most active crypto-adoption markets. The acquisition comes at a time of rising consolidation in the digital asset industry, particularly among exchanges seeking scale, regulatory coverage, and access to new customer bases. For Paribu, which has grown to become one of Türkiye’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, the deal provides a direct foothold in neighbouring markets and aligns with broader efforts to engage with regulated jurisdictions. CoinMENA, meanwhile, gains a strategic shareholder with a sizable domestic user base and the resources to support its expansion plans.
