Angle Health Raises $134m to Scale AI-Driven Health Benefits for Small Businesses
Angle Health has secured $134 million in Series B financing to expand its AI-powered health benefits platform for small and midsize businesses, a segment it argues remains largely overlooked in the U.S. healthcare system.
The round, made up of equity and debt and led by Portage, comes as employer healthcare costs are projected to see their steepest rise in more than a decade.
Since its previous funding round in 2023, the company says it has increased topline revenue by 26x and expanded its customer base to more than 3,000 employers across 44 states.
Founded in 2019 by former Palantir engineers Ty WangDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Anirban GangopadhyayDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Angle Health automates tasks that traditionally require heavy manual work—quoting, underwriting, and benefits administration—using machine-learning models to process documents and generate plan options quickly.
Gangopadhyay says this approach allows the firm to quote thousands of groups each week , reducing one of the biggest friction points for small employers.
Wang argues that while telehealth and other digital health services have expanded across the industry, they disproportionately benefit large companies with richer benefits budgets, leaving smaller employers with limited visibility and bargaining power. Angle Health positions its platform as a way to offer more transparency and predictable pricing to a market that often lacks both.
The company emphasises that technology alone will not resolve the structural challenges of U.S. healthcare , but believes AI-led workflows can meaningfully simplify the experience for businesses and employees.
With fresh capital, Angle Health plans to broaden its product capabilities and deepen its reach in the SMB market, where it sees substantial unmet demand for more accessible, data-driven benefits solutions.
