In October 2025, French biotech firm ImCheck Therapeutics agreed to be acquired by global biopharmaceutical company IpsenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in a transaction worth €350 million upfront and up to €1 billion. The deal, expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, will expand Ipsen’s oncology pipeline with a promising new class of immuno-oncology therapies.

Founded in 2015, ImCheck focuses on developing antibodies that target the butyrophilin (BTN/BTNL) family of immune regulators. Its lead candidate, ICT01, is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody designed to activate γ9δ2 T-cells, offering a novel approach to treating cancers such as acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and potentially solid tumours. Early results from its Phase I/II EVICTION study have shown encouraging responses in AML patients who are unsuitable for standard therapy.

For Ipsen, the acquisition strengthens its position in oncology, particularly in haematologic cancers, while broadening its late-stage development portfolio. The company said ImCheck’s platform complements its existing assets and aligns with its strategy to build a sustainable pipeline focused on innovation in immuno-oncology.

ImCheck has been one of France’s most prominent biotech ventures, backed by investors including EQT Life SciencesDealroom has a profile for this one.
