Ecorobotix Raises $105 Million to Advance AI-Powered Precision Farming

Swiss agtech company Ecorobotix has raised $105 million in new funding to accelerate the global rollout of its AI-driven crop treatment platform. The investment will support expansion into new markets, the development of additional crop algorithms, and further automation of its precision farming systems.

Founded in 2014 and based in Yverdon-les-Bains, Ecorobotix has developed technology that enables plant-by-plant care, allowing farmers to treat crops with exceptional accuracy.

Its flagship product, ARA, uses high-resolution cameras and artificial intelligence to distinguish between crops and weeds, applying treatments only where needed. The system can reduce chemical usage by up to 95 percent while maintaining yields, significantly lowering environmental impact and operational costs.

Ecorobotix currently operates in more than 20 countries, with a focus on high-value crops such as vegetables, sugar beets, and specialty plants. The new funding will also accelerate production capacity and research into new AI models, allowing the company to refine its detection and dosing capabilities across a broader range of conditions.

The company plans to unveil further innovations at Agritechnica, one of the world’s largest agricultural technology exhibitions, underscoring its ambition to make precision agriculture more scalable and accessible.
