Anthropic triples valuation to $183B with Series F

In early September 2025, Anthropic closed an extraordinary $13 billion Series F funding round, propelling its valuation to an astonishing $183 billion—nearly triple its value from March of this year.

This leap reflects surging investor confidence—and rising demand for Anthropic’s enterprise-focused AI tools. Its revenue run rate surged from $1 billion at the start of 2025 to more than $5 billion by August, fueled by exponential growth among its 300,000+ business customers. In the past year, the number of large enterprise accounts—those generating over $100,000 in annual run-rate revenue—has grown nearly sevenfold.

Key contributors to this success include Claude Code, the company’s coding-focused AI tool. Since its full launch just three months ago, Claude Code has already generated over $500 million in run-rate revenue, with usage spiking more than tenfold.

The Series F round was co-led by ICONIQ, Fidelity, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with significant backing from institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and asset managers—including BlackRock, Blackstone, Qatar Investment Authority, and many others.

Anthropic plans to channel this capital toward expanding enterprise adoption, scaling internationally, and deepening its pioneering AI safety research.
