Manastu Space Secures $3M to Scale Green Propulsion Technology

Mumbai-based Manastu Space has raised $3 million in a round led by Capital-A, with participation from Capital 2B, Indian Angel Network, E2MC, the Bhagnani Family Office, and Jeet Chandan. The funding will accelerate the commercial rollout of the company’s eco-friendly satellite propulsion and debris-avoidance systems.

Manastu’s flagship technology, VYOM 2U , successfully completed an in-orbit test on PSLV C-60 last December, replacing toxic propellants with a cleaner alternative. The company is now working toward achieving Technology Readiness Level 9, a milestone that marks proven performance in real operational environments.

Alongside propulsion, Manastu is developing in-orbit servicing capabilities such as satellite refuelling, deorbiting, and mission life extension. Expansion plans include entering the U.S., European, and Asian markets, targeting satellite manufacturers, constellation operators, and integrators.

With collaborations spanning India’s DRDO and France’s Latitude under the iDEX program, Manastu is positioning itself as a key player in sustainable space infrastructure—a market set to grow sharply as India’s space economy moves toward its projected $40 billion size by 2040.
