From $10M to $100M: Replit’s Breakout Year

Replit started with a simple idea: make it easy for anyone to build software, right from their browser. In the early years, things moved slowly. In 2020, the company made just $300,000 in yearly recurring revenue. By 2022, that grew to $1 million, and then to $2.4 million in 2023. It was steady progress — but still under the radar.

That changed in 2024. After launching Replit Agent, an AI tool that helps users build apps by describing what they want in plain language, growth picked up fast. By the end of the year, Replit had grown its revenue to between $10 and $16 million.

Then 2025 arrived — and the company took off. By April, it had reached $70 million in recurring revenue. Just two months later, in June, it crossed the $100 million mark. That’s ten times more than it had just months earlier.

What’s remarkable is that Replit did all this without raising more money. Its last funding round was in 2023, at a $1.2 billion valuation — and it still has over half of that money in the bank.

Replit’s growth comes from real users — from big companies like Zillow and HubSpot to independent developers who now run full businesses on the platform. What started as a simple coding tool has become a powerful product with serious momentum. And it’s only just getting started.
