Vesna Deeptech Fund: Backing Early-Stage Innovation from Slovenia and Croatia

Vesna Deeptech Fund is a VC fund established in 2024 with €49 million in commitments, aiming to invest in early-stage deep tech startups and projects that address global challenges.

While the fund is headquartered in Luxembourg, its operational activities and investment decisions are coordinated from Slovenia and Croatia.

Vesna targets founders with strong technical backgrounds, often emerging from research institutions or universities, and focuses on commercialising scientific innovation.

The fund invests in startups working in climate and environmental technologies, advanced materials and enabling technologies, and AI and ICT.

Vesna positions itself as the first Slovenian-Croatian deep tech fund, with a mission to bridge the gap between academic research and market-ready products, strengthening the innovation ecosystem in Central and Southeastern Europe.
