AXA to Sell AXA Investment Managers to BNP Paribas in Strategic Shift
AXA has entered into exclusive negotiations to sell its asset management arm, AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), to BNP Paribas for €5.4 billion. This strategic move is part of AXA’s plan to simplify its business model and refocus on its core insurance activities, particularly Life & Savings. The deal will also establish a long-term partnership between AXA and BNP Paribas, with BNP Paribas managing investments for AXA. The transaction is expected to reduce AXA’s underlying earnings, but the impact will be offset by a share buyback.
