From AXA Venture Partners to Atlantic Vantage Point
In August 2024, AXA Venture Partners (AVP), the venture capital arm of French insurer AXA, underwent a significant transformation through a management buyout (MBO). The leadership team acquired AXA’s 70% stake, transitioning AVP into an independent private investment firm. This move was part of AXA’s broader strategic shift, including the sale of AXA Investment Managers to BNP Paribas .
Following the buyout, AVP rebranded as Atlantic Vantage Point (AVP), emphasizing its transatlantic focus on supporting high-growth technology companies in Europe and North America. Despite its newfound independence, AVP maintains a strong relationship with AXA, which continues as a key partner and anchor investor in AVP’s €1.5 billion Growth Fund I.
